Can Tim Keep UpCan Tim Keep Up
Grandpa Tim's family. He can't keep up with the grankids?

A Family Party

We've more grandchildren now
Than the children God allowed.
It's a party.
Everyone is here;
All seven Children,
Eight grandchildren,
Three daughter in laws
And Vivian's parents.

Look around the yard
The grandkid's are missing
Where are they hiding.
"Merideth, Merideth
Where are you children hiding?"
Vivian found them coming out
from behind the raspberry bushes.
Just raiding the raspberry patch
For grandma had taught them how.

Tim's heart is full
Blessings, laughter,
Grandpa Anton's swing
Is being used by six
Erin and I pushing.

On the same lawn
folding tables are set with
Grandma Jill's summer
Vegetable cooking:
New potatoes and peas
Corn on the cob,
Tomatoes from the garden
Fresh baked cookies and Ice cream

Sally's Dad went to work
She clings to Grandpa Tim
Corn on the cob one-handed
Helping her drink from a plastic cup

Make the "quack sound"
Pleads preschool Jeffrey
That contribution is
grandpa Tim's main part

The table on the driveway
Penny Dominoes
two grankids are,
One on each knee,
Showing to everyone
What grandpa Tim will play.
He even has an extra
domino from table center.
The light just went out.
family arms wave.
The motion sensor turns
it back on again.
Amanda giggles.
Jeff jumps up and down

The best miracles are simple.
God's gifts given by mortals.
This could not have happened
without Vivian's superb folks
Great Grandma Jill did so much
with Grandpa Anton's garden delights.
Giving and receiving, Godly Charity.
