My Spouse
Is So Like
I Want To Be;
In Reality;
In The Now.
Another poem
"Totaled"
is also about;
this automobile crash.
It is more about the event

Attitude,
Vivian's Faith

    1
    Steady recovery
    In the rehab center
    Of the hospital
    Is an awsome wonder
    For her husband
    to quietly ponder

    4
    "Tim," she says to me,
    "This I know will bless.
    Our lives will be richer
    We'll appreciate the kiss
    The tenderness that will
    Bring intimate bliss."

    7
    Vivian remains real
    Telling nurses and family
    Cringing in her pain.
    A symbol of humanity
    When she feels hurts
    She cries out simply

    10
    What a jewel I have
    the Savior's love delt
    Gethsemane's pain
    in small ways that exalt
    is repeated by her love.
similar to ways we've all felt.

2
Vivian is the one
Who should really be
The one to wallow,
unproductive pity.
Instead she builds
and comforts me.

5
I am proud of my wife
Without putting weight
On the left leg where the
Hip Socket was rebuilt.
Learning to do things,
On one leg to manipulate

8
She also pays the price,
to learn tasks takes effort
Common things are hard
just one leg does sports
And another painfully
Hampers, it won't support

11
My Savior's love expands
So alike is the caring.
I see in Vivian
The same personal giving
Helping Tim see Christ
In her devoted crying.

3
I had no broken bones
I had no stitches
I am out of the hospital
But her trust enriches
Her faith sees God's good
She uses creative stitches

6
Every day she heals
Bringing little blessing
Every painful challenge
Is relationship caressing
Though it could be
Just discouraging.

9
A walker, crutches. stairs,
Laundry, making a sandwich,
picking up, socks and shoes
new gadgets to reach
learning not depending
on anyone else to stitch.
